This 14 Day tour showcases the best of the North Island.

Come with us and explore the stunning Bay of Islands in Northland, the rugged West Coast beauty of Raglan, the geothermal wonders of the Central Plateau and the vibrant Mt Maunganui, all on your way to the IRONMAN New Zealand the most internationally represented IRONMAN in the world

Starting in New Zealand’s largest city you will have the opportunity to take in the iconic Auckland waterfront during a group swim and run before departing for the scenic far north.

 

Days 2 and 3 take part in Paihia – enjoy a spectacular coastal group ride with a coffee stop in historical Russell. Experience a Maori cultural performance and history tour in Waitangi, the birthplace of the nation.

 

Days 4 and 5 take you south to Raglan – challenge yourself to a trail run before enjoying a soak in the thermal waters of Waiwera hot springs. Witness the world class left-hand surf break and enjoy the chilled out lifestyle of NZ’s premier surf town. Join the group for a brick training activity that gives an opportunity to stretch your legs and take in the quaint harbour side setting.

 

Days 6 and 7 take you inland to the geothermal playground of Rotorua. Marvel at the natural wonders of the world famous Waitomo Glow Worm Caves. See our rare native birds at the Kiwi house and bird sanctuary. Test yourself with a Mini Tri at Rotorua’s Blue Lake then take some time to explore the fascinating geothermal region.

 

Days 8 and 9 take you to the east coast township of Mt Maunganui. Journey to Middle Earth to visit the home of Frodo and the brave Hobbits of The Shire. Explore the scenic surrounds and enjoy the cafés and restaurants at this relaxing beach-side location.

 

Days 10, 11 and 12 return you inland to the central plateau and the mighty Lake Taupo and the home of IRONMAN in New Zealand. Enjoy free time, optional adventure activities and soak up the surroundings as you prepare for the big race day.


Days 13 and 14 return you to Auckland, City of Sails. Celebrate with the group and share a final farewell meal together.

Auckland to Paihia Via Whale Bay

0945 – Check out and depart

1045 – Arrive at Parry Kauri Park (20 mins)

1105 – Depart Parry Kauri Park

1300 – Arrive at Whangarei for Lunch (not included)

1345 – Depart Whangarei

1445 – Arrive at Whale Bay for beach walk (optional beach swim)

1545 – Depart Whale Bay

1730 – Arrive at Paihia and check in to Admiral’s View Lodge, Paihia
