Day 1 - Christchurch - Mon 4 Feb

Welcome to the Garden City. The largest in the South Island, Christchurch is a very english city based around a magnificent inner city park. Today you’ll meet the group and get you bike ready to roll. Opt to spend the afternoon exploring the city or join you guides for a gentle jog around Hagley Park.

Day 2 - Kaikoura - Tue 5 Feb

A majestic location on the east coast, north of Christchurch. Kaikoura is a thriving marine environment populated by a host of wildlife including whales, dolphins and fur seals. Take a scenic bike ride and run along the coastline with the towering southern alps sitting in the background. Join the group for a BBQ dinner and a chance to get to know your fellow guests.

Day 3 - Hanmer - Wed 6 Feb

Hanmer is an holiday town set in a alpine basin at the foot of the southern Alps. Famed for its natural hot springs, Hanmer provides the perfect backdrop for cycling and running and the local hot pools are the perfect remedy to sooth your tired legs.

Day 4 - Kaiteriteri - Thur 7 Feb

New Zealand’s northern coastline is scattered with golden sand beaches and emerald green waters. We will base ourselves at the stunning Kaiteriteri beach, gateway to the Abel Tasman national park. Here we will hit the open waters with a swim session and soak up the beachside vibe with a woodfire pizza dinner. The next day we will journey into the park by boat and have the day to enjoy trails and beaches galore.

Day 6 - Greymouth - Sat 9 Feb

Journey back in time as we head south along New Zealand’s wildly beautiful West coast. Surrounded by rainforest and towering cliffs, the ‘Coast’ is one of the most green and lush environments you’ll ever experience. We will show you our favourite spots which highlight this unique environment and you will have the chance to lace up the runners for an out-of-this-world trail run along a jungle clad river valley.

Day 7 - Twizel - Sun 10 Feb

A scenic travel day sees us drive over an alpine pass and into the Canterbury region of the south island. Take the chance to explore ancient limestone formations at Castle Hill before journeying further south towards McKenzie Country, home of New Zealand’s most beautiful lakes. Tomorrow we will take a group bike ride alongside lake Pukaki finishing in Mt Cook national Park where you can take a walk along the Hooker valley to get an up-close look at the surrounding glaciers.

Day 9 - Queenstown - Tue 12 Feb

Queenstown is one of New Zealand’s most famous destinations. Fit-for-a-Queen, this stunning town sits amongst the Remarkables mountain range and is nestled on the shores of the dramatically beautiful lake Wakatipu. With nearly unlimited opportunities for adventure or sightseeing activities Queenstown has something to satisfy everyone’s taste.

1100 – Pool swim session in Cromwell

1400 – Arrive in Queenstown

Day 11 - Wanaka - Thur 14 Feb

Wanaka is the sister town to Queenstown and offers similarly beautiful vistas but in a much more laid back village style setting. A destination loved by outdoor enthusiasts Wanaka provides the perfect setting for a triathlon race that just may be the most scenic in the world.

Today we travel back to Christchurch to conclude our tour. We will share a final group dinner together to celebrate an amazing tour and reflect on all our wonderful experiences.
